Could be better, Loud but not a smooth sound. – I purchased this item to add to my outdoor hiking kit as you can never have enough ways to get noticed if you’re lost. It came with two metal whistles. They are loud, however they’re not smooth like some whistles that I’ve used in the past. This whistle you can tell, when you blow, its not a smooth sound that comes out. It takes some force to produce a loud sound. On other whistles, the sound comes out effortlessly, and you can tell flows out from the body. Granted it does what it is designed to do, it is still a slight disappointment.
