GREAT FOR A SMALL GYM – I bought this timer for the small boxing gym that I go to. It’s about a 400 square-foot space, one room. You really have to read the manual to figure out how to program it, as it’s not very intuitive. We mostly use the pre-set EMOM (every minute on the minute) time, which is great and counts the rounds. For sparring, we’ve also set 1-9 minute rounds with 30-second breaks in between. The brightness is adjustable and easy to read, but it really isn’t loud enough. Once the gym is going and the music is playing, it can be tough to hear. Great purchase for the price though. Install was super easy, but I added two wall anchors to secure it in the drywall.

Get what you pay for – This is exactly what it is: The cheapest timer on Amazon. Bright numbers that can be seen clearly. Beeper is loud enough to hear over music. Programming is awkward and not intuitive. When it’s in Clock Mode it has a large “H1′ or “H2” in front of the time. That means every single person who walks into the room will ask “What does “H1″ mean?” Then after you explain they will reply “That’s dumb.” I keep mine turned off when not in use for that reason.
