      Awesome straws! – I switched to soft flasks and ditched my hard plastic water bottles. These straws make it so much easier to drink and you don’t have to take them out of your pack. Pull up to drink, push down to close. Easy! And they don’t leak. I’m using the Camelbak Octane 9 and 18 and the 500ml flasks fit great in both. Buy them! You’ll never turn back to your bottles again.

      Interesting idea. Worth having. – There are comments about the smell. If you soak it about 1/2 hour in salted water, it will take that away. I used probably a tablespoon of salt, soaked it in a bowl so it was fully submerged. I’ve used it a few times and no weird taste at all.

      Plastic taste – So I got the 12oz. bottle with a straw for the same brand running vest (love the vest) As soon as I got it, I washed it and soaked it in hot saltwater (I read other reviews on how this would get rid of the plastic taste/smell) Nope. Every sip has a strong plastic taste. I’ve had it for a week and I’ve used it for five days. It’s still the same. I hope it decreases over time.
