Perfect fit on both 32 and 40 ounce Hydroflask – Got this silicone protector to better protect against dents IF my water bottles happen to hit the ground. I very rarely drop anything, but I did lose control my 32 oz Hydroflask once (in the past) when getting out of my car, and this “boot” could have prevented the small dent that my water bottle ended-up with.

Now my water bottle is a bit more protected. – Since I already managed to put a dent in the bottom of my water bottle, I decided to order a “boot” to prevent additional dings. Yep, I drop it. A lot. Hoping this makes the drops a little quieter. When I opened the package, I had my doubts – first picture. Being silicone, I figured it would be okay – picture 2 – but wasn’t thrilled to see it so smashed when it arrived. It went into a round shape with only a few squeezes in opposite of the initial crease. It fits my water bottle perfectly. Why I didn’t get one earlier? I have a silicone sleeve for my large bottle so why did it take me this long for something for my smaller bottle? There are 2 sizes and 9 different colors, and current price is about $8. A bargain in my opinion. If you’re giving someone a metal water bottle for Christmas (only 28 days away as I type this review), be sure to include a boot for the bottom. A very good investment and something they probably won’t even think about adding.

Fits snug on a Thermoflask – I ordered a water bottle boot because I really liked how there was a boot on my newer Thermoflask. I put this boot on my 24oz Thermoflask. This boot fits snug and stays on better than the one that came from Thermoflask. One of my issues with the original boot from Thermoflask is when I put the bottle in my cup holder in the car, the boot will easily slip off when I remove the bottle. This new boot is snug enough that I have no worries that the boot will come off.

It I is such a simple product, but it makes my water bottle much more pleasant to use. It prevents slips and falls from happening while providing an extra layer of protection for a water bottle that can potentially save it from wear and tear and dings or scuffs.

I ordered several different variations of this product, some had this hexagon surface and others had a “diamond” surface. I personally prefer the flat hexagon style, mainly because of the way it looks, but also because it fits easier in a cup holder since it’s not as thick. But really, it comes down to personal preference. They both do the job.
