Survived a round-trip across country, fully-loaded. – I used it to take mine and my girlfriend’s bikes to Burning Man. It required some occasional adjustments (I checked it at every gas stop), and seemed a bit wobbly at first. But after a few iterations of adjusting it, it was broken in and the wobbling mostly stopped. It’s super easy to install, and packs down small (a bonus, since I only expect to use it once a year lol). Definitely worth the money. I do recommend getting some rubber pads for the connection points, though; while it didn’t cause any visible damage, I can see regular use making scratches. Also, the connection points slid under my running lights, and got slightly jammed. This would probably be fixed by some rubber pads, and wasn’t a big problem anyways.

Quick way to transport bikes on a rental – Took to azores to use to transport bikes on a rental car – I sent over in luggage and it was perfect

Glad I Got It – Hard to believe a $35 item actually works and does what it says. Bought this for my Subaru Crosstrek to carry my stepthrough bike and it works as advertised. Did not need a crossbar extra either. I am not the best at following directions but even still it only took me 15 minutes to get it on my car and ensure it was on right. Drove it at 60mph on freeway to and from bike trail 30 miles away and had no problem whatsoever. I got 2-bike rack and used clamps furthest from car. I’m so happy! The world has opened up to me now. I don’t know how to flatten the rack yet for storage (it opened almost like magic when I turned something) but I will figure that out later. For now it’s in my garage with my bike. Great buy!! Did not budge on my car.

Works well enough. – Can’t beat the price. My husband and I transport our mountain bikes (each weighing 30 pounds) with it and while we weren’t super comfortable with it’s durability at first, we’ve had zero issues so far. I’m not sure we’ll use it for higher speeds, but it handles 45 mph easy. My complaints (why I didn’t give 5 stars): is that 1. this particular design covers our back up camera and I’d rather it didn’t, and 2. it’s not super easy to install. My SUV back opens and closes automatically so this makes hooking the pieces on difficult. The straps have to be tightened after they’re hooked on so you have to have the length just right as the back closes. Can take a few attempts.

Good deal for the price – A good deal for the price, I have a heavier e-bike, so definitely testing the weight limit, and the rack held up fine. Not the easiest ever to mount, but also not hard, just several steps.

Needs padding – Installed well and it was stable for a 4 hr drive however the bike frame rubbed on the red Y portion and some of the bike’s logo decal came off. You may want to add some padding for extra protection.

I would get a roof top rack in hindsight… – Does the job for sure but you will scratch your car up eventually because of dust and debris that accumulate while driving, It does work well though…but if there is a roof top version or something to put in-between your car and the rack pads I would do that.

Worked well – My daughter was able to carry her bike back from Virginia to Tennessee with no issues. Exactly what we wanted.
