New method of whistling! – I have been using a regular whistle for years like an idiot! These are fantastic! You just hit a button and it lets go of a very audible whistle sound, and there are three different types of whistles to choose from! So much easier, no wasting breath. Very easy to hold, and package comes with two. The battery lasts for quite a while of use before having to change it. If you are tired of regular whistling, I would highly recommend.

Not whistles – Maybe I don’t know what a whistle is, but I don’t think these are whistles. They have three tones, which I misread to mean three different volume levels. Well, it’s not three volumes; it’s three different tones. Think of how you can set your ring tone on your phone with different tones; that’s the idea, but these are three preset tones.

SO SO SO COOOOL! – My wife coaches high school soccer and uses these things at every practice. She loves the ability to give verbal instruction in conjunction with the whistle sound. They are very loud and cut through field noise easily. They are also very lightweight and have a strap for hanging on the wrist. Both of these have been used at four soccer practices a week for a month and neither have run out of batteries.

The 2-pack is great in case one gets misplaced, or if you have an assistant coach. The 3 sounds are great for variety, but one thing is lacks is a volume control. Overall though, a great electronic whistle!

Incredibly loud – These are extremely loud. I got them to use as a swim starter and quickly realized that they were far too loud for an indoor meet. They are probably suitable for an outdoor meet but even then they are pretty loud. The tones themselves are pretty rough on the ears. Less of a normal whistle sound and more of a loud electronic tone. Overall they are worth it for the price but just know that they will be heard from a really long way away and they sound less like whistles than would be expected.
